Monday Quote

April 7, 2008

“It is a reality of life that men are competitive and the most competitive games draw the most competitive men.”                       –Vince Lombardi

I heard Bill Self quote this before his team put a beat down on the Tar Heels.  Sorry to all my Carolina friends and neighbors.  Today’s quote is in honor of the NCAA National Championship tonight.  I hope you have enjoyed the tourney and that your brackett is still perfect.

A side note:

This Thursday (4/10) we will find out if we are having a boy or a girl?  We are really excited about it and I will let you all know Friday morning.   I don’t see how people wait to find out, but then again my wife and I can’t hold Christmas gifts for longer than a week before giving tem away.

The Madness — less than 24 hours

March 19, 2008

I said yesterday these post would be great moments from tournament history, but today’s clip is subject to your allegiance.

Let the Madness Begin

March 18, 2008

On thursday afternoon at about 12:15 EST my favorite three weeks of the year will begin.  It all starts with the best two days in sports, in which we have the opportunity to watch 32 basketball games.  Of course before all that we have to stare at a bracket for hours trying find those upsets that will have everyone talking.  I personally pick most of them so when it does happen I can brag, “I had that on my sheet.”

This week I will do my best to provide us with some of the greatest moments of tournament.  I hope you enjoy them and block out some time, a lot of time, to enjoy basketball this weekend.
